The HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless makes a convincing inkjet argument for offices with a high volume of prints. With a function touch screen, multiple networking options, and an astoundingly fast print speed, it makes perfect sense to give this workhorse an Editors' Choice award.

The touchscreen and networking options you mentioned seem to be good features, but I don't think it will be of too much of use for small businesses.

HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless is not a practical equipment for small businesses. Basically, small businesses only make few printouts per day. They also have very few computers, only 1-2 PCs most of the time ; thus using a wired printer is good enough.

I love the idea of the wireless printers - I remember years ago we used to have these big dinosaurs in the office and it's great to have technology come up with great new innovations to make everyone's life easier. I can only imagine the type of equipment we'll have in the next decade.

Yea but wireless printers are so cheap now-a-days and they are so simple to setup it wouldn't really make much of a difference if you upgraded to a printer than had wireless as typically they are just a couple bucks more in terms of the price tag. I think there are certain perspectives of an inkjet that would make it fine to use in a business and certain things that would not. As many businesses don't get ink jets due to they cannot hold very much and you would be switching them out a lot more than you would a toner/drum.

Just purchased this for my small home based office really liked The touchscreen and networking options you mentioned seem to be good features. Though ink price is gonna make me cry but seems to be a promising product.
