Default Re: Joomla Fan?

A friend told me that you should have a private server when using Joomla. What is that for?

No, you can use Joomla on a shared hosting server and it works just fine. Is that what your friend meant notting_hill that you couldn't use it on a shared hosting server? It should work on all types of servers long as they have MySQL and the proper extensions that it needs to run.
