Do you go to online dating websites? Do you think it is an effective way to meet friends and future partners?

I have been to those sites a few times but I don't think it is an effective way to meet people, unless it is just for friendship. We also need to keep in mind that most people initially tend to tell things about themselves that are not necessarily true - so it always remains to be a gamble.

I do not believe in online dating because there are a lot of fraud happening in this kind of set-up. The person may disguise themselves as someone else. You may end up with a bad guy.

When online dating is your only way to meet up the person, that's dangerous. But if you can meet up in person and be able to continue your friendship beyond the internet, that is better. The only way to really see the person in his true self is when you are together.

You should also be careful when you decide to meet up a person. Always bring a friend with you especially when you will meet the person for the first time. And choose to meet in a public place so that you can easily ask for help if the person turned out to be a bad guy.
