I guess in designing a website there are certain tips to follow or simply the "do's and don't s"..I have one particular in mind and its a no no to use background music in a web pages unless your site is MTV or Disney websites..because music for me is too pretty heavy and takes time to download and everything..so what about you ? what do you think are the other do's and don't s?

Don't use too loud contrasting colors. It hurts the eyes. Use a combination of more subdued colors with one or two loud colors to get attention.

well yeah that make sense too! I don't like to see those loud colors too.. i like the earthly colors to be specific what about yours?

Yea the colors should be kept in mind. Usually neutral colors do very well and shades of the same color do very well and are easy on the eyes. For example the use of the color green in this forum theme, it uses a variety of greens and creates an overall appealing design. The website creator should also make sure that if they put adverts on their website that they don't make it too overbearing that no one wants to visit. As there is suc a thing as TOO many ads. haha
