There are pools of churches in the world, overwhelmed with blessings from God and sacrifices made by men. But which of these churches are the richest, in terms of monetary evaluation?

1. THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

The Catholic Church has her root from Christ himself, who then passed the ministerial baton to the apostles. Through bishops appointed by the apostles themselves, the word of God was propagated. The Catholic Church records Saint Peter the Apostle as the first pope of the Church.

The Catholic Church simply called The Church is the largest and wealthiest institution known in the world. It is, however, the oldest and richest of all churches known on the face of the earth today. The Pope is the head of the Roman Catholic Church and he is politically taken to be the 4th most powerful leader in the world.

The worth of the Catholic Church internationally runs into billions of dollars. It is perceived that the Catholic Church is richer than many countries.

2. THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the next following the Catholic Church. Their worth alone in The United States is $67 billion.

This church is also known as the Mormon Church or simply as LDS. Their international headquarter is at Salt Lake city, Utah in the U.S.A. They have millions of members with various branches spanning around the world.

Joseph Smith found the church in 1830 at Fayette in New York U.S.A. The LDS is ranked second as the world’s richest church.

3. THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND

The Church of England is simply called the Anglican Church. Anglican Church used to be Catholic Church not until King Henry VII in 1534 disassociated England from the Catholic Church, following the Church’s refusal in his getting a second wife.

The Anglican Church has waxed strong since then and it has millions of believers today around every part of the world. Their worth runs into billions of dollars.

4. CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY

The Church of Scientology is the fourth richest church in the world today. The beliefs of this church are based on rigorous research and its doctrines are therefore accorded a significance of scientific laws.

Scientology is a set of belief that was invented in May 1952 by the American author, L. Ron Hubbard. This man initially developed a program of ideas he called Dianetics.

The Scientology headquarters in The U.S.A is estimated to be $2.0 billion. This, however, places them on the list as the fourth richest church in the world.

5. THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH

The Episcopalian Church is the fifth richest Church in the world. This church was founded in 1789 when they separated from the Church of England. Their priests thus do not pay allegiance to the Queen of England or the Bishop of Canterbury.

As at 2018, the Episcopal Church has 6,823 parishes around the world. They are span around the U.S.A, Taiwan, Micronesia, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Europe.

Their members, both baptized and communicants run into millions. Their general worth rates them as the fifth richest church in the world.
